Kimberly J. Monson is a first-time author with a slightly twisted sense of humor and a talent for finding the funny in everyday life. Her debut book looks innocent enough to sit on a children's bookshelf...until you're a few pages in. The idea for this book came to Kim while sitting in her deer stand during a particularly slow day of hunting. She rarely goes anywhere without a sketchbook, and when inspiration strikes, she starts creating. As the story unfolded, each new page made her laugh out loud, and more ideas kept pouring in. She has always joked with her daughter, "I am so funny," and now she has the book to prove it. (She says please purchase it to prove her point) 

Creativity has always been at the center of Kim's life. As a full-time photographer and artist, she has spent decades capturing meaningful moments, dreaming up imaginative concepts, and turning ordinary scenes into memorable works of art. When she's not behind the camera or working on her next creative project, you'll likely find her spending time with her grandchildren (who she promises she does not swear around), enjoying the woods and trying to avoid poison ivy—which she considers one of nature's greatest design flaws.

This may be Kim's first book, but if you're still laughing by the last page, it probably won't be her last. She firmly believes sarcasm is a coping skill, laughter is one of life's greatest survival tools, and some stories are simply too funny not to share.

Somewhere along the way, Kim realized that the simple charm of children's picture books could tell stories adults might appreciate even more—especially when mixed with sarcasm, real life, and the words that got her cousin's mouth washed out with Irish Spring.
