Steve Sommer is a Savannah‑based writer whose work blends memory, imagination, and the quiet weight of lived experience. A retired mechanic turned storyteller, Steve writes with the hands of someone who has fixed things his whole life. engines, relationships, and the fragile machinery of the past. His stories often explore the spaces between regret and redemption, the roads not taken, and the small moments that shape a life.

He is the author of The Blinks of Nod and the way we became ourselves, and is currently expanding a historical nonfiction manuscript on the legacy of eugenics.
