Isaiah Christopher writes stories for kids who are quietly carrying more than they let on.

His stories tackle what grown-ups sometimes tiptoe around: two houses, mixed-up bedtimes, the friend who says the wrong thing, the stomachache that shows up every Sunday night for no good reason.

He’s spent a lot of time around water — calm on the surface, more interesting underneath. That’s taught him something he puts in every story: what’s beneath is usually the truer part, and it deserves attention too.

Two Homes, One Heart is his first collection, written for ages 6–8 navigating life between two front doors, with a companion note for the grown-ups in the room.
