Philippe Chiron

Philippe Chiron is a retired professor of orthopedic surgery. After a career dedicated to surgery, research, and teaching, he turned to writing with the same passion for inquiry and sharing knowledge.

In *GA-ÏA*, his debut novel, he explores the upheavals artificial intelligence might bring to our societies—but, above all, what these changes reveal about human beings: our beliefs, character, and contradictions, as well as our struggle to distinguish between what we believe and what we know.

His new novel, *Countdown to the Grave*, tackles a subject that stirs the imagination: what would we do with our lives if we suddenly had a great deal of money... but very little time?
