Anuj Kumar

Anuj Kumar is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Legal Desire Media, a leading legal media house that covers the legal industry, the courts, and the people who move through them. Under his direction, Legal Desire has grown into one of the most widely read platforms of its kind, reporting on the law not as a set of abstractions but as something that happens to real human beings in real rooms. Anuj also founded and edits Fashion Law Journal, a niche media outlet covering legal landscape of fashion industry, Anuj helps fashion brands and industry stakeholders about addressing challenges in supply chain of fashion, protecting creative works, rights of stakeholder, etc.

He holds a Master of Law with a specialization in Criminology, a background that shaped the questions at the center of this book: how the machinery of justice actually works, where it bends, and what it costs the people caught inside it when it does. His interest has never been in the law as it is written, but in the law as it is lived, and in the distance between the two.

Anuj also founded and ran Forensics Reporter, a magazine devoted to the application of forensic science in criminal investigation. Years spent reporting on evidence, on how it is gathered and handled and, occasionally, mishandled, gave him an intimate understanding of the small technical moments on which a person's entire life can turn. A glove that appears where it should not.
