Joseph Anthony Dattilo

I'm Joseph Dattilo, and I write the Nemia Rising series as Joseph Anthony Dattilo.

Nemia Rising is science-fantasy. It follows Kumo, an agoraphobic albino who wants nothing more than to finish his archaeology Ph.D. in peace, right up until a girl named Alice drags him into the dark underworld of Japan. If Neverwhere or Narnia are the kind of doorway you like walking through, you'll be at home here. Two episodes are out so far, with more on the way.

I build worlds for a living, one way or another. By day I design AI systems and run a small software company; the rest of the time I've been a lifelong roleplayer and worldbuilder who cares more than is probably healthy about a story whose rules don't bend when it gets convenient. My wife, Katherine Dattilo, makes the covers and reads every chapter before anyone else does.

One note, since the names collide: the "Time's..." time-travel series is by a different author, J.M. Dattilo. Mine is Nemia Rising. If you found Kumo, you found the right one.
