May Lamar

Alabama-born May Lamar Donnell is a former award-winning newspaper reporter and advertising copywriter-turned novelist and ghost writer, who produces the occasional awe-inspiring obituary notice as a sideline. Works include the historical fictions, "Brother Sid, A Novel of Sidney Lanier"; "Gifts, A Novel of Painter Anne Goldthwaite"; the biography "Last of the Bosses, Monroe County's Judge E.T. 'Short' Millsap"; the best-seller regional depiction "Hunting: The Southern Tradition"; and as of recent the popular novel, "The Seventh Wonder." When not writing, she is a puppy raiser, hiker, camper, organic gardener and golfer.
