I spent 13 years in the Australian Army, first as an armoured vehicle crewman, before transferring to be a combat engineer, with multiple operational deployments along the way.

My experiences in combat shaped how I think and write about war: less about grand strategy and perfect heroes and more about the chaos, boredom, fatigue, hard decisions and the hardship faced by individuals and small teams at war.

Military history, tactics, and technology have always interested me, long before I ever wore a uniform. These days I write the kind of fiction I like to read - fast, tactically grounded, and honest about what combat actually feels like.

I write short, hard-hitting military fiction for readers who want their war stories to hold up to scrutiny.
