College professor for over thirty years for both undergraduate and graduate courses. Currently teaching graduate courses in the MBA program at the Gabelli School of Business -- Fordham University at Lincoln Center. He is the author of a professional textbook “Managing Organizational Conflict” published by McFarland and has co-authored a text “Stand & Deliver: High-Impact Presentations” published by Pearson. As the former Assistant to Superintendent of NYC Schools he administered an executive training and certification program in conflict resolution and mediation for pedagogues, administrators and security personnel.
Sam was a trainer/facilitator for the American Management Association teaching negotiation to business leaders.
As a faculty member at Pace University's Graduate School of Education he created and taught intensive conflict resolution courses for school administrators.
He has worked with diverse clients across a wide spectrum of service, educational, governmental, and not-for-profit organizations. Sam has designed instructional programs and served as consultant and training leader for both large and small companies, including clients such as the New York City Commission on Human Rights, Global Kids, the Lighthouse Guild, Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and the Boys’ Club of New York.
For two consecutive years, he has been the recipient of the Human Relations Education Award from the National Conference for his leadership in the area of conflict resolution. Sam coordinated the relief efforts for the schools at Ground Zero following the September 11th terrorist assault and led students groups to Germany as per a program underwritten by President George W. Bush and Chancellor Gerhard Schroëder.
