Bill McHugh

Bill McHugh is a husband, father, lawyer, and community advocate who believes government should be practical, transparent, and focused on results. In his work in the private sector, as an elected official, and in public advocacy, he has seen firsthand how local decisions impact everyday life—from schools and parks to roads and public safety.

He created this book to make civics fun, simple, and accessible for children and families, and to inspire young people to believe their voice matters. Bill hopes this book helps spark interest in local government as citizens and as a potential career path and inspires a lifelong commitment to service.
