Alan Millard

Alan Millard is a writer and amateur stand-up comic who also happens to be an anaesthetist. He has failed at many things in his life - singing, sports and most notably dancing - but all of his patients seem to wake up when they're supposed to.

Born in London and raised in Queensland, Alan realised the rich world in which he lived and operated was ripe for story-telling whilst listening to the beeps of the machine, prompting him to write his first novel in The Andy George series - Going Under.

He lives on The Sunshine Coast with his wife, their children and a very old dog called Bingo.
