Dakeesha Wright

Dakeesha Wright is an accomplished executive leader, engineer, and nationally recognized advocate for minority leadership in STEM. As Founder and CEO of Melanin Minds in STEM, she brings more than 25 years of experience across aerospace, defense, and complex operational environments, having held senior leadership roles driving performance, culture, and results at scale.

She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and an M.S. in Quality Systems Management, with certifications including ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt. Her honors include the Women of Color in STEM Award for Managerial Leadership and Top 40 Under 40 recognition.

Dakeesha is committed to developing the next generation of STEM leaders through board service, educational advisory councils, mentorship, and K–12 outreach. Her passion for Melanin Minds in STEM was born from her own leadership journey and a desire to create intentional pathways to executive leadership for others.
