C R Kennett

C.R. Kennett is a Canadian children's author and devoted single mother of two whose dream of writing began in childhood. Inspired by her grandparents and a lifelong love of creativity, she eventually returned to writing after her life, and health, took an unexpected turn.

A former heavy equipment operator, C.R. now uses her time at home to pursue the dream she carried for years. Her debut picture book was inspired by her own challenges of single motherhood and by the many women raising children without a village. Through sharing her story, inspired by her son's imagination, C.R. hopes to remind mothers that their sacrifices, love, and everyday efforts matter—even when they feel unseen.

When she's not writing or hand painting illustrations for her next upcoming book, C.R. Kennett loves exploring the Canadian outdoors, making memories with her children, and embracing life's next adventure.
