Kaleb Kim is a 16-year-old debut author from Texas. He began writing Veins of Contrast two years ago, bringing to life an imaginative world he had created when he was younger.
He initially hated writing, but his mother kept encouraging him to “just write and see where it takes you,” without worrying about whether everyone would like it. That advice helped Kaleb realize that his imagination didn't have to be right or wrong—it was his world, and he was free to create it.
You don't have to create something everyone agrees with. You just have to have the courage to create it.
What began as an idea from his childhood eventually became Veins of Contrast, a story he hopes will give readers hope while encouraging them to think about the choices they make and how those choices affect others.
When he's not writing, Kaleb is currently preparing for his SAT and continuing to explore the worlds that live in his imagination.
He's a kid with a pen and an imagination that will hopefully never end.
