E.J. Bramble

E.J. Bramble writes the Mimic & Mend books, cozy fantasy about Hettie Ashby, a retired thief with bad knees and excellent hands who now mends the locks she used to pick, in a canal town where the cash box bites. She also writes the Green Kettle Mysteries, paranormal cozy mysteries set in an inherited tea shop on the Pacific Northwest coast, where the new owner is a reluctant witch.

Her heroines are women in the second half of life who are very good at something, and her small towns need them to be.

She came to fiction late, after fifteen years in nonprofit communications. She lives in a former ferry town at the edge of the Olympic Peninsula, where she keeps an herb garden, a drawer of keys that fit nothing, and a strong opinion about the right way to oil a hinge.
