Robert C. Bartsch

Robert "Bob" Bartsch grew up just a short mile west of the Mississippi River, and what is now Gateway Arch National Park - the original St. Louis village. When not immersed in books on Lewis and Clark or Western expansion, he could usually be found with a baseball bat in hand. Those early readings sparked a lifelong passion for the outdoors, beginning in the Ozarks, where he spent his youth camping, fishing, hunting, and canoeing.
