Nancy A Bourget

When Nancy is not at the gym, reading, or getting together with family, she can be found at home typing thoughts, sentences, and researching plots for her novel with all her furbabies close by.

Nancy's love for animals has always been a part of her DNA. It all started with her first cat, Ernie, whom she treated as if he were her child. Ernie had his own dresser with a selection of outfits for almost any occasion. One year for Christmas, Nancy dressed Ernie in a tuxedo. They were celebrating Christmas at her parents' house. Ernie looked very distinguished at the party. The problem was that when Nancy went to feed him, she couldn't find him and started panicking. She thought that with all the people walking in and out of the house, he may have escaped. She asked her dad to call the police. Her dad's response was, "What do I tell them? That we lost a cat dressed in a tuxedo?" It was a good thing Ernie was found hiding under the bed before the call was made.

This is only one of several stories Nancy has about the many animals she has been grateful to have. With her love for animals and writing, it was almost inevitable that Nancy would write a series about the furbabies that she rescued and loved.

One of the many furbabies that Nancy rescued was a beautiful pup named Dolly. Dolly became known as Nancy's shadow, following her everywhere she went. The two were always together.

Shortly after Dolly crossed the rainbow bridge, Nancy decided to keep Dolly's memory alive by creating a book series she could share with others about the beautiful, caring dog Dolly was.

All the characters in each book are among the many furbabies who have been part of Nancy's life.
