Gary Locatelli

Gary S. Locatelli is a lifelong storyteller, broadcaster, musician, and entertainer. Best known to many listeners as the unforgettable radio character Uncle Vito, Gary became part of the lives of countless listeners throughout New York’s Capital Region. His career also included television, where he entertained young viewers as Ranger Danger while continuing to connect with radio audiences through his unique blend of humor, creativity, and storytelling.

In The Guy Behind the Glasses, Gary steps away from the microphone to share the true stories behind the voices. With humor, honesty, and heart, he reflects on growing up in Johnstown, New York, family, music, radio, television, fatherhood, and the experiences that shaped his life.

Gary enjoys birdwatching, music, and spending time with his wife, Claudia, their dog Wrigley, Parrot Jack and the many feathered visitors to their backyard.
