Wendy Ran Wei

Wendy Ran Wei is a Machine Learning Engineer and AI practitioner with experience building intelligent systems at Airbnb, Meta, Pinterest, Twitter, and Coupang. Throughout her career, she has worked on large-scale search, recommendation, advertising, and retrieval systems that serve millions of users.

She is passionate about bridging cutting-edge AI research with practical engineering. As co-author of Advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation: Bridging Large Language Models and Knowledge Graphs, Wendy aims to help engineers and researchers understand not only how Retrieval-Augmented Generation works, but also how to build robust, production-ready AI systems.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys experimenting with new AI tools, creating open-source and educational projects, gardening, and documenting interesting technical ideas. She regularly shares projects, demos, and AI insights at wendywei-dot-ai.
