Dr. Michael A Brown

Dr. Michael A. Brown (BA, MAR, MDiv, DMin) is a pastor, educator, and author whose life's work sits at the intersection of biblical scholarship and everyday Christian living. A native of Trenton, New Jersey, Dr. Brown entered ministry in 1975 and has spent more than five decades shepherding congregations, equipping believers, and teaching the Word of God across racial, cultural, and denominational lines.

Dr. Brown has served as an adjunct instructor at Faulkner University and the University of Phoenix, teaching courses in Biblical Studies, Old Testament Survey, and World Religions. He currently serves as Senior Minister of Westview Church in Madison, Alabama — a ministry he helped plant in 2008 — and leads its ongoing Bible Institute for adult learners.

His writing reflects the same conviction that has shaped his ministry: that serious engagement with Scripture is not reserved for scholars, but is the birthright of every believer willing to do the work. His books are grounded in solid biblical teaching, accessible to a wide range of readers, and consistently focused on the question that matters most — so what does this mean for how I live?

Dr. Brown is the author of several titles, including Faithful Legacy, Life in the Holy Spirit, The Kingdom of God & You, Following Jesus, The One Anothers, and Drawing Nearer (all published with 21st Century Christian Bookstore). His most recent release, Reading the Bible Well (iUniverse, 2026), continues his lifelong invitation to readers to move beyond surface-level faith into a deeper, more transformative walk with God.

Prior to his full-time return to ministry and writing, Dr. Brown served as an Integrated Engineering Services Manager supporting NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama — a career that sharpened his gifts for clear communication, precise thinking, and leading teams toward a common goal.
