Christoph J Kellner

Christoph J. Kellner, born in 1972 in southern Germany, loves stories that touch the eye and the heart. After studying film and cultural studies and earning a degree in animation, he founded his own illustration studio in Berlin in 1998. Since then, he has worked successfully as an illustrator and graphic recorder.

It comes as no surprise that his debut novel is the first part of the children’s fantasy series “Lieber Anderswo – Chronik einer gewünschten Welt” (Dear Elsewhere – Chronicle of a Desired World): Christoph loves the magic of everyday life. In “Anderswo,” he brings familiar sayings to life and enchants readers with a fantastical world and lovingly drawn illustrations of his own creation. His stories are full of adventure, unknown places, and quirky characters. With a big heart for outsiders, he proves that even the quiet and sensitive among us can be true heroes. Christoph lives in Germany and Spain—always surrounded by colorful pictures, clever wordplay, and purring cats.
