A.D. McKay

A.D. McKay, author of The Redundancy Doctrine series, began her journey into indie authorship as an alternative to therapy, using fantasy romance to examine her feelings about power, institutions, and the complications that arise from loving someone when it would be far more convenient not to. Unfortunately, she still ended up in therapy anyway.

Somehow both deeply sincere and profoundly unserious, she is, quite obviously, an Aquarius. She is also a runner, a lifelong nerd, an aspiring Dungeon Master, and a recovering Big Four consultant.

Mother to Chaos and Calamity, A.D. was born and raised in New York City but now lives in the southeastern United States. She holds a bachelor's degree from DePaul University in Chicago and studied Irish politics and history at the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) at University College Dublin.
