Cain Baker

Cain Baker writes gentle, honest books for people doing hard inner work. His writing began with The Weightless Home, a guide to releasing the physical and emotional clutter we carry, and the same spirit runs through everything since: warm, plain-spoken, and free of jargon, but never soft on the truth. He believes that real healing respects the reader — that people are capable of accountability as well as compassion, and that the kindest thing an author can do is tell you the truth in a voice you can actually bear to hear.

Freedom After Them grew out of a conviction that the conversation around toxic relationships had drifted to two unhelpful extremes: one that excuses every hurt as unforgivable abuse, and another that shames anyone who dares to step back from family. He wanted to write the book that lives in the honest middle — that takes your pain seriously, hands you your own agency, and refuses to pretend that either staying or leaving is always the answer.

He writes under a pen name because he cares more about the words being useful than about being known. If this book helped you, that is the only signature he was ever after.
