Jesse Jacoby

Jesse Jacoby writes for the manager nobody trained.

He is the founder and principal of Emergent, a Denver-based consultancy specializing in organizational change, leadership transitions, and helping new leaders succeed. For more than two decades he has worked alongside managers and executives, from first-time supervisors to senior leaders, at Fortune 500 companies as well as mid-sized firms and fast-growing startups.

The programs he has designed have helped thousands of managers step into leadership with confidence. He is also the architect of methodologies that help companies assess and activate AI opportunities across their workforce, the same human-plus-AI partnership his work teaches new managers to build.

The Emergent Manager: Field Guide to Your First Six Months as a Manager, grew out of a pattern he kept seeing: the managers who thrive are rarely the most naturally gifted. They are the ones who move through the transition with a plan.

Jesse holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in communications. He writes and speaks on leadership, management, and change.
