Stephanie Schmid

Hello, and welcome. I’m a full-time working mom from Long Island, New York, and a proud wife and mother. I share my home with my husband, Ian, our daughter, Hannah, and our beloved cat, Nikki. My life is filled with the beautiful—and sometimes challenging—balance of family, career, and everything in between.

For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my career to early childhood education, beginning as a preschool teacher and growing into my current role as an Education Manager for our county’s Head Start program. My experiences working with children, families, educators, and my own family have taught me that motherhood is a journey filled with both rewarding moments and difficult seasons.

Outside of my career, I enjoy listening to music, traveling, spending quality time with my family, and, of course, anything Disney! These simple joys remind me of the importance of making time for the things—and the people—we love.

I became a writer because I wanted to create a space where other moms could feel seen, understood, and supported. Through my stories, I hope to share the experiences, lessons, challenges, and moments of growth that have shaped my own journey. Motherhood can sometimes feel overwhelming, and there are moments when we wonder if we are doing enough or if anyone else truly understands what we are going through.

If even one of my stories gives another mom encouragement, guidance, comfort, or simply reminds her that she is not alone, then sharing my words is worth it. It would be a privilege to know that something I wrote helped another mother navigate her own journey with a little more hope and confidence.
