When I arrived in the UK, my English vocabulary consisted of little more than “teabag”—but I brought with me a background as a television reporter and actress, a love of storytelling, and plenty of determination.

My journey from wielding a mop to working my way into a leadership role in court security inspired my memoir, Fluent in Faux Pas.

My love for Chow Chows inspired another chapter in my writing life. My own Chow Chow, Dea, became the proud mum of beautiful blue puppies and helped inspire Chow Chow Dea: The Remarkable Blue Pup’s Adventure and my series Chow Chow: The Little Lion Puppy, beginning with The Mystery of the Missing Home.

Through my stories, I hope to capture what Chow Chow lovers know so well—the breed’s loyalty, independence, dignity, courage, and unforgettable personality.

When I’m not writing, I love spending time with my family and, of course, Dea—the Chow Chow who inspired it all.
