Amanda Curtis is a homeschooling mom of four who has spent more than a decade navigating home instruction in New York. She founded Gel Pen Learning to create practical resources for homeschool families and writes about education, homeschooling, and the occasional regulatory rabbit hole.

When she's not homeschooling, writing, or questioning why a government form is asking so many questions, she's usually learning something no one asked her to learn, or explaining why Jean-Jacques Rousseau is still relevant.
