Thomas A. Blüm

Thomas A. Blüm, born in 1967, is a German non-fiction and fantasy author, an independent researcher in the field of human-AI interaction, as well as a lecturer and public speaker.

After more than three decades at Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems, his work now focuses, amongst other things, on issues of orientation and social stability, as well as on how stable forms of collaboration between humans and AI can be established.

His non-fiction book *Symbiotic Intelligence and Human-AI Interaction* was published in 2026 by transcript Verlag. This was followed in the same year by *Symbiotic Intelligence – An Introduction to Effective Human-AI Collaboration* and *Jenny Laßwitz*, his first fantasy story, which was published in six languages.

He now lives mainly in the Rhineland and regularly travels between European cultural regions, including southern Styria and Lisbon, one of Europe’s most dynamic hubs for technology and artificial intelligence.

In his private life, Blüm collects abstract acrylic paintings and Japanese bronze vases, and has a soft spot for bica, bitoque and ćevapčići.
