Daniel Kogan, Kyoshi 7th-Dan, has been learning Karate since 1979. Daniel was accepted as the first Uchi Deshi (live-in disciple) at the Onaga Karate Dojo, in Okinawa, Japan in 1990. He returned to Vancouver, Canada and established the first Shinjinbukan Dojo in 1992, eventually relocating near Seattle, Washington, USA, in 2001. After a 30 year career in tech, Kogan sensei has recently retired and returned to Canada’s Westcoast where he has established the Shinjinbukan Shimajuku, on Vancouver Island.
