David Touchet

David Touchet grew up in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, where a lifelong love of books and storytelling took root early. That early affection for reading grew into a drive to write, and in the years since, Touchet has built a body of work that moves easily across genre — gothic suspense, Southern horror, romance, and science fiction.

His novel *The House Beneath the Snow* — a gothic psychological thriller carrying the tagline "Some doors are never meant to be opened" — follows a snowbound house holding fast to a secret best left buried. It is available now on Amazon and Kindle. In *What the Bayou Keeps* and *Where the Bayou Remembers*, Touchet returns to the landscape he knows best, setting a pair of MM romances against the humid quiet of South Louisiana's bayou country. *The Ruins of Tomorrow: The Price of a Stolen Future* carries readers into a time-travel science fiction story about what is lost when the future is taken before its time.

His most ambitious project to date is *The Devil's Harvest*, a Southern Gothic horror novel set in the fictional town of Sugartown, Louisiana, deep in Beauregard Parish — a story of inherited bargains, old sins, and the kind of dread that settles into small towns with long memories.

Whether he's writing horror, romance, or science fiction, Touchet keeps returning to the same questions: what people carry, what they bury, and what eventually comes back to be reckoned with. He continues to write and self-publish from Louisiana.
