Ze'ev Chafets

Zev Chafets is the author of thirteen books, including national bestsellers of fiction and

nonfiction. His books have been translated into several languages and range from politics and

history to sports, crime, and American culture, united by an enduring fascination with the

people who make history—and the ones who simply make life more interesting.

Over a journalism career spanning five decades, Chafets has been a frequent contributor to

The New York Times Magazine, a columnist for The New York Daily News, Fox News, and

Although not a Cajun by birth, Chafets spent twenty years as part of a remarkable Cajun
