Jonathon York

Jonathon York is a professor of Government and Political Science at Dallas College--Mountain View (formerly Mountain View College). He has previously taught at North Lake College (2001-2005), Brookhaven College (1999) and the Northwest Campus of Tarrant County College (2001-2003). A member of the American Political Science Association since 2001, he is affiliated with APSA’s Indigenous Studies Network and has contributed to the publication _Honoring the Circle: Ongoing Learning of the West from American Indians on Politics and Society_, published by Waterside Productions in 2020. His research interests include Political Theory and Ideology, Foundations of Political Thought, and the Indigenous Politics of the Americas. His other interests include astronomy and music, as well as the intersection of mundane and transcendent experiences.
