Amy Goodin has always been someone who cares deeply about the people around her. As a daughter, aunt, Mimi, caregiver, and friend, many of the experiences that have shaped her most have come from loving people through both the beautiful and difficult parts of life. Those experiences also taught her how powerful it can be when someone feels truly heard and understood.
That belief inspired Amy to create The Caring Perspective—books and resources designed to help children, families, and caregivers navigate real-life challenges with greater understanding, empathy, and practical support.
Her books include Protecting the People We Love and Ellie Rose and Her Busy-Brilliant Brain, co-authored with her grand-niece, Ariah Drake.
Although the topics may be different, the heart behind them is the same: look beyond the difficult moment, try to understand the person, and help people feel less alone.
Sometimes, it begins with two simple words: “I hear you.”
