Philip Molebash has spent much of his life wondering what makes people change, and perhaps more importantly, what makes them believe they can.
A professor of education at Loyola Marymount University, Philip has spent more than thirty years working with teachers, students, schools, and communities. He's been a classroom teacher, researcher, educational leader, consultant, and high school track coach. Along the way, he's become convinced that some of the most extraordinary people in the world are the ordinary people we encounter every day.
His first book, Heroes of Change, grew out of that conviction. Through the stories of remarkable people from vastly different walks of life, Philip explores how ordinary people find the courage to change their lives and, in doing so, change the lives of others. Their journeys reveal something he has come to believe deeply: we don't have to be extraordinary to make an extraordinary difference.
At the heart of his work is a simple belief: heroism isn't reserved for a remarkable few. It's a possibility that lives within all of us.
