Darryl Barnes

Darryl Barnes is an executive leader, entrepreneur, former elected official, and strategic advisor with more than two decades of experience across business, government, and community leadership. He is the founder of Barnes Executive Advisory and president of Barnes International. Barnes served nine years in the Maryland House of Delegates, including as Chairman of the Maryland Legislative Black Caucus, and later served as Chairman of the Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Employee Retirement System Board of Trustees. Throughout his career, he has led organizations, advised executives, built strategic partnerships, and navigated high-stakes decisions involving growth, operations, government, and stakeholders. He is the author of When the Decision Matters: A CEO Field Guide to Leading Through Growth, Pressure and Complexity Without Losing Control of the Business.
