Peter S Milan

Peter S. Milan is the pen name of Petr Šulc, a Czech children’s author, educator, publisher, and founder of Pierot Publishing House, established in Prague in 1993.

For more than three decades, he has been creating books that help children discover the joy of reading, learning, and exploring the world through stories. His work combines imaginative storytelling, gentle humour, educational experience, and a deep understanding of young readers.

He is the author and creator of children’s fiction, first-reader books, activity books, and educational titles designed to make reading accessible, engaging, and enjoyable. At the heart of his work is a simple belief: children learn best when curiosity, play, and storytelling come together.

Under the name Peter S. Milan, selected works by Petr Šulc are now being introduced to English-speaking readers in the United States and Canada, bringing more than 30 years of Czech children’s publishing experience to a new generation of young readers and their families.
