Kenneth Sinclair

Author Kenneth Sinclair has been coding for more than 50-years. He began his coding career while in college in 1967 using a paper tape reading ASR-33 console connected to a major time-sharing network running Fortran IV, COBOL, and BASIC. Since that early beginning, as a cross-functional engineer, he has developed hundreds of commercial software and hardware applications based on major coding languages and on both embedded and computing systems.

Ken has literally experienced the evolution of programming to where it stands today and therefore has a unique, extensive understanding of coding languages and tools. Raising two coding kids of his own, he also has a unique insight into how to match a coding language tool to a child’s personal traits.

Ken has a BSEE degree and an Associate Science degree with minors in mathematics and physics. He is also a retired commercial pilot and FAA certified flight instructor. In support of his lengthy engineering and aviation careers, he has by necessity acquired professional skills in development and delivery of training and educational materials across many different disciplines.

He recently retired as a global training manager for the human resources department of a major worldwide electronics distributor with over 22,000 employees world-wide. In this role Ken was responsible for development and delivery of hundreds of teaching guides, presentations, training programs and educational materials across many different disciplines including sales, personal and professional development, and technology.

In addition to authoring and publishing books, as a commercial pilot and certified flight instructor, Ken continues to provide flight instruction to student and commercial pilots. He has also served as an accident prevention counselor with the Federal Aviation Agency and has authored and delivered numerous training curricula in the private and commercial aviation field.
