J.A. Buchanan writes adventures filled with sharp banter, unexpected danger, loveable troublemakers, a touch of romance, and the kind of chemistry that rarely follows the plan. A West Virginia native and a graduate of Marshall University, she now lives in Texas and brings a little southern storytelling- and plenty of humor-to every page.

When she isn't sending fictional couples into far off locations, mysteries, and wonderfully inconvenient situations, she is a proud Gen Xer and longtime behavioral health leader. Her belief in resilience, second chances, and the importance of finding laughter along the way, shines through in her storytelling.

When she isn't writing or helping others, J.A. Buchanan enjoys traveling, photography, romantic comedies and spending time with her husband and their lively menagerie of rescued animals- including numerous cats, an exceptionally smart Chihuahua, and a kooky alien looking pug mix who is forever getting into something.

She believes the best stories should make readers laugh, inspire them, keep them guessing, and remind them that love, friendship or adventure often appears in the most unlikely places- usually at the most inconvenient time. But that is the joy of life!
