Laura Prpich is a graphic designer and educator based in British Columbia, Canada. With more than 26 years of experience in the creative industry, she has spent her career exploring visual communication, storytelling, symbolism, human behaviour, and the ways experiences influence how people think, feel, and connect.
Over the years, Laura became increasingly interested in a question that extends beyond design: What role does creativity play in our well-being? This curiosity led her to pursue continuing education in neuroscience, psychology, and art therapy-informed practices, where she developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between creative expression, self-awareness, emotional processing, and mental well-being.
As technology continues to transform the creative profession, Laura believes that human creativity is more important than ever. Not because everyone needs to be an artist, but because creative practice offers an opportunity to slow down, reflect, solve problems, process experiences, and better understand ourselves. Through drawing, painting and other forms of creative expression, we can engage parts of ourselves that are often difficult to access.
Inspired by the work of pioneering art therapists and psychologists, Laura created this workbook as a space for reflection, exploration, and creative discovery. Her hope is that these pages encourage curiosity, self-awareness, and a renewed appreciation for the creative process.
Laura is the founder of Caribou Creative, an independent design studio whose work has been recognized internationally. Alongside her design practice, she continues to develop workshops, retreats, and educational resources that explore the connection between creativity, well-being, and personal growth.
