Martijn Aslander

Martijn Aslander is a Dutch technology philosopher, information alchemist, and advocate for information autonomy. His central argument: digital sovereignty is impossible without information autonomy — the ability of people and organisations to independently access, structure, connect and use their own information without unnecessary dependency on vendors or platforms.

He is the author of Information Autonomy, with a foreword by Fons Trompenaars, and How to Begin with Obsidian. His earlier Dutch bestsellers include Nooit Af, Easycratie and Ons werk is stuk.

Aslander is co-founder of the Digital Fitness Academy (Digitale Fitheid Academie), which teaches companies and employees to become digitally fit, and of the Digital Fitness Foundation (Stichting Digitale Fitheid), a research institute that develops these principles further — helping companies and governments save billions in costs while keeping their information in their own hands and genuinely accessible.
