Mirel Bran

Mirel Bran is a journalist and philosopher working at the crossroads of technology, story, and meaning. For nearly three decades he has written from the intersection of journalism, philosophy, and the moving image, reporting on the currents that reshape how we live and think. He is the author of the Sophy Trilogy — Technosophy, Mythosophy, and Logosophy — an inquiry into what technology, myth, and language reveal about the human spirit.

Correspondent for Le Monde, France 24, Le Point, and RFI, he writes in French, Romanian, and English, and holds a doctorate in information sciences alongside a background in philosophy, the history of religions, and the visual arts. He is a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, a distinction awarded by the French Republic.
