Sunny Paul Smith

Sunny Paul Smith is a technologist, serial entrepreneur, author, and Christian leader who has spent more than five years immersed in artificial intelligence and its rapidly evolving capabilities.

His debut thriller, HAIJACKED, was inspired by conversations with his sons, two of whom are pilots, about the intersection of AI, aviation security, and the growing ability of technology to convincingly replicate human voices. The novel explores the vulnerabilities of modern communication systems and raises compelling questions about trust, responsibility, faith, and the consequences of technological innovation.

Written in collaboration with retired air traffic controller Ernie Ortiz, HAIJACKED combines technical insight with suspense and moral complexity. Smith's Christian faith informs his storytelling, particularly his exploration of personal accountability, ethical responsibility, and the choices individuals make when confronted with difficult truths.

Smith and his wife live in Virginia and have five children.
