Joe Solmo

Joe Solmo is an author of horror, dark fiction, and fantasy who lives within New York’s Adirondack Park, where long winters, deep woods, and questionable decisions provide plenty of inspiration.

He is the author of Where the Fireflies Gather, The Hammer of Hu'Mod, and the Penned In Blood series, including Penned In Blood Remastered. His short fiction has also appeared in several anthologies, proving that other people have occasionally been willing to publish the things that come out of his head.

His stories wander through haunted places, strange worlds, supernatural horrors, dark humor, and the occasional level of carnage that probably seemed like a good idea at the time. Whether he's writing horror or fantasy, Joe has a particular fondness for flawed characters, terrible situations, and finding out exactly how much worse things can get.

When he isn't writing, Joe can usually be found fishing, playing guitar, or pursuing some other creative distraction. He lives with his wife and cat, Mr. Meowgi, and continues to assure both of them that his search history is strictly for research purposes.
