Professor Holger Sudhoff, MD, PhD, FRCS, FRCPath, is an ENT surgeon, researcher, and author based in Germany. He is the founder and director of Kopfzentrum Bielefeld, where his clinical work focuses on ear surgery, hearing rehabilitation, and the treatment of complex ear, nose, and throat disorders.
His expertise includes middle ear and lateral skull base surgery, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, and Eustachian tube dysfunction. Combining surgical practice with laboratory and clinical research, he explores how scientific advances can improve patient care.
Professor Sudhoff has contributed to approximately 300 scientific publications and eight medical books. His writing brings together surgical techniques, underlying disease mechanisms, and practical clinical decision-making for specialists and trainees.
As President of the Politzer Society, he supports international collaboration in otology and the exchange of knowledge across disciplines. Through his books, research, and teaching, he aims to make complex subjects accessible while encouraging thoughtful, evidence-based surgical practice.
