Agnes Winnes

Hi, I'm Agnes Winnes! I write fun, picture-filled books for curious kids ages 7–13 who love to ask "How does that work?" and "Could I do that one day?"

In my How to Be… series, young readers step into exciting careers, from chasing storms and caring for animals as a veterinarian to solving mysteries as a detective, exploring the ocean as a marine biologist, or designing their own video games. Each book follows friendly characters through real tasks, tools, and challenges, so kids can discover what a job is really like and imagine themselves doing it.

My Whoa Facts! series is packed with amazing, surprising, and totally true facts about space, animals, dinosaurs, the human body, and more, all with a clever little owl as your guide.

I also write kid-friendly guides to creating online, like making videos and going live, always with online safety in mind.

I believe kids learn best by doing, so my books are full of colorful illustrations, activities, and "try it yourself" moments instead of long lectures. My goal is simple: to turn curiosity into confidence and help every child dream big about what they could become.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy reading!
