Marlin S. Potash

Marlin S. Potash, Ed.D. is a psychologist and psychotherapist in New York City and

Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has been in practice for more than forty years.

She is the author of Cold Feet: Why Men Don't Commit (E.P. Dutton), a main selection of the Psychology Today Book Club published in seven countries; Hidden Agendas: What's Really Going On in Your Relationships (Delacorte Press), a Book-of-the-Month Club and Quality Paperback Book Club selection; and Am I Weird or Is This Normal? (Simon & Schuster), written with her daughter Laura Potash Fruitman, for teenagers.

The Dandelion Cousins, illustrated by Marian Domínguez, is her first children’s book. It comes from two places: four decades of studying and teaching mindfulness and meditation, and being a grandmother of three, watching small people run into feelings too big for them and wanting to give them something that actually works.
