Susan Erickson, MA, MSW, LCSW has spent decades walking alongside children, families, and mothers through some of life's biggest transitions, including adoption, divorce, and learning differences. That work, and raising five children of her own, taught her that every child carries a light worth noticing, even when the world hasn't learned to see it yet.
Susan is the founder of Boyhood Compass, a developmental framework for mothers raising boys ages 5 to 12, and MotherRise, home to MotherRise Press and the MotherRise Circle book club. Noah Finds His Light is the first book in the Boyhood Compass series, illustrated by her daughter, Elle Erickson.
Susan lives in Long Grove, Illinois, where her grandbabies call her "Lovey."
