Theodore W. Ward is an author, entrepreneur, AI consultant, educator, speaker, former pastor, and retired U.S. Navy veteran whose life has been centered on service, leadership, faith, technology, and people.
Born and raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, Theodore draws much of his storytelling from the people, neighborhoods, lessons, and experiences that shaped his early life. Those memories became the foundation for his memoir, Herzl Street Days, a heartfelt journey through family, friendship, community, childhood adventure, struggle, and resilience in Brooklyn.
Ward served in the United States Navy as an electrician and senior training facilitator, ultimately retiring after a career that included both active-duty and reserve service. His ability to teach and develop people became a recurring theme throughout his life.
Beyond the military, Theodore has served his communities in numerous leadership and service roles. He spent approximately 12 years as a Christian pastor, served as a volunteer hospital chaplain, participated in prison ministry, worked as a volunteer firefighter, and served as a local NAACP president in Schenectady, New York. He also hosted the television program Schenectady Today and organized community outreach initiatives involving thousands of participants.
Today,
Theodore is the founder of BeTheOne AI Consulting, LLC, where he helps businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, and organizational leaders understand and responsibly implement artificial intelligence. His work increasingly focuses on AI governance, compliance, organizational AI readiness, AI literacy, executive education, and workforce training.
