Nate Atkins

Nate Atkins is a screenwriter, author, poet, wildlife conservationist, and lifelong horrorhound whose work explores the ever-shifting boundary between the monster inside and the ones waiting in the dark beyond. For the past twenty years he's eked out a living by the written word, with side hustles ranging from cattle necropsies to guiding wilderness expeditions. His poem, “The Skin Rite (Run-Ta-Tun-Tun-Tun!),” is featured in the Horror Writers Association’s Poetry Showcase, Volume XIII (Raw Dog Screaming). His debut literary horror novel, “Second Skin,” will be released in March of 2027 (Crystal Lake Publishing). A Central Maine native, he now lives in New York's Hudson Valley, somewhere between the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and Sleepy Hollow.
