Jered Dennis

Jered Dennis grew up on stories his dad made up at bedtime: a tiny naked man who lived in your ear, ladybugs who could change their spots, and a whole world of dust bunnies living under the fridge. Years later, Jered turned those bedtime stories into books, so his dad’s characters could finally reach kids outside the family.

Today he writes and illustrates The Dust Bunnies series, picking up where his dad left off. Each book sends the five fluffy heroes of Underfridge on a new adventure. They’ve faced a ten-headed dragon, an alien from Planet Couch, a kraken, a robot and a midnight giant, and there’s always a funny twist waiting at the end.

He is also the creator of Monty and Max, an easy-reader graphic novel series. It began with The Monster Who Was Scared of the Kid Who Lived Above His Bed, a story inspired by his own childhood and by the dad who always checked under the bed.

When he isn’t writing, Jered works in real estate and spends time with his kids, and he still checks under their beds every night.
